Your University Email

All students are required to use their St. John Fisher University email accounts. Do not wait to activate your St. John Fisher University email — all communication and updates from the University will be sent to this address, including your financial aid notifications. 

Check your St. John Fisher University email daily for messages about registration, news, events, and updates or announcements from faculty.

Create Your University Email

To create your SJF university email account, please refer to the email sent to you with the subject line, “Your Student Portal and Enrollment Guide”.

First-time users must follow the log-in instructions by clicking the “change your password” link:

  • Go to the mySJF Login Page
  • On the Microsoft Sign in page, enter your school email address with this convention: {!Account.Net_ID__c}@sjfc.edu. For account setup purposes, you will need to make sure you are using the suffix @sjfc.edu, but after that, defer to using the suffix @sjf.edu (without a “c” on the end) when using your email account
  • Click “Next”
  • Enter your initial password (copy this once you’ve entered it for easy pasting on the next page):
    • First letter of your first name
    • !
    • First letter of your last name
    • $
    • First two digits of the last four numbers of your student ID number
    • #
    • Last two digits of the last four numbers of your student ID number
    • *
    • Two digit code corresponding to your birth month
      • Example: Student Jane Doe whose student ID number is @00001234 and was born in January would have an initial password of: j!d$12#34*01
  • On the next page, change your password:
    • Enter the temporary password you entered on the previous page
    • Enter a new password
    • Confirm the new password
    • Click Sign in
  • You will be brought to a page that says “More Information Required.” Set up your multifactor authentication method. You can choose to receive a call or text, or you can choose to download the Authenticator App. Please refer to the attached guide for more detailed instructions.

Once you’ve completed these steps, return to the mySJF login page and use your net ID ({!Account.Net_ID__c}) and new password to log in and complete the following steps:

  • Activate your Gmail account by clicking “Launchpad” next to the Search option on the top right of the page (be patient, it takes a moment to load).
  • Then click “Google Apps” in the Launchpad dropdown. Hit “continue” to be sent to Google Drive.
  • Click the nine dot grid in the top right, then click the Gmail icon.
